Every player leaves a pattern

Explore where Beau records disposals and takes shots. Compare quarters, opponents or seasons, then open the moments behind the pattern.
Some event totals differ from the official match statistics, which can receive later corrections. Recorded events remain available.
Both maps keep the attacking goal on the right. Counts describe available events; compare the coverage and sample sizes too.
Attempts at goal
Comparison view →This comparison rotates every event toward the right-hand goal. Positions retain their distance from goal in metres; the oval is a guide. Select an event and choose “Show in match” to see the recorded attacking end for that quarter.
Distance from goal
Select a band to inspect its attempts.
Angle to goal
Degrees off centre: 0° is straight in front.
About fingerprints and shot profiles
Attempts require the AFL event feed’s shot-at-goal flag. Outcomes are shown only when the feed supports them; an unknown outcome is not counted as a miss. Conversion is goals divided by attempts with a known outcome, within the displayed filters. Counts describe available events and can differ from official match totals. Disposals include classified kicks and handballs; kick-ins are excluded.
Distance is from the recorded kick position to the centre of the attacking goal using that venue’s dimensions. Angle is the deviation from straight in front. These are geometric estimates, not measured kick distances or scoring probabilities. Field thirds use each venue’s recorded length; percentages use located events only.
Completed games and later source corrections feed into these maps. Missing quarters, unlinked players and missing locations are disclosed. Partial 2024 data is retained. Read the map definitions and coverage.
