Who we are: FootySphere is an Australian-based AFL statistics and insights service. In this policy, we, us and our means FootySphere.

Collection notice (APP 5 summary): When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, password (stored as a secure hash), and optional profile image. We collect this information to create and administer your account, authenticate access, provide support, and protect platform security. If you do not provide required account information, we may not be able to provide account-based features.
What we collect: Depending on how you use FootySphere, we may collect account details, profile information you provide, support correspondence, search/activity logs, technical diagnostics, IP address, browser and device information, and session/security cookie data.
How we collect personal information: We collect personal information directly from you (for example when you register, update your profile, or contact support) and automatically through your use of the service (for example security, performance and diagnostic logs).
How we use personal information: We use personal information to operate and improve FootySphere, provide personalised account features, prevent abuse and fraud, maintain platform security, troubleshoot technical issues, and communicate service or support updates.
Direct marketing and communications: We may send service-related communications required to operate your account. Where we send marketing communications, we aim to do so in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), including clear unsubscribe options.

You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings and, where available, through industry opt-out tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out page.

Some providers may store or process information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers handle information appropriately.

Children: FootySphere is intended for general audiences. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances requiring parental or guardian consent, we will take reasonable steps to address that collection.
